Club House Website Re-launch.

Total rebuild. It’s actually starting to look the real thing!?!!…. I’m very pleased with it….. Go look see…

“Kneel before me, for I am The Webmaster!”

Archive and new animated ‘mad bunny’ added to the burrow.

Cheers Tony…… Nice one…… I like it a lot!

Outgoing email address.

Using outlook and the outgoing smtp provided by my ISP the outgoing email address is now this domain. Pretty sure I can set up a few discrete addresses with forwarding and setting up a feww additional email accounts with my ISP.

Domain email and link sorted.

Had to set up a separate yahoo account to send mail, as this very lovely and inexpensive service does not offer an outgoing smtp. Really don’t mind that as a limitation.  Email me links added to link pages and burrow main page. Why not try one. All comments, suggestions; general praise; and even constructive criticisms, gladly received. Let me know what you think.

Also added counter to the bottom of the burrow main page. I have set it to increment for each new unique visitor, so not really expecting it to go up much. At least not until I’ve worked on getting search engine hits.

Buttontastic…

After my best mate started creating his own buttons I decided to have a go myself. First came the club house link button, based on the already created small logo. Using photoshop I then created layers beneath it using gradients,  lots of very careful colour matching, marquee tool and smudging/blurring to stitch them together, to give it the raised button look. Same again to create the pressed button effect, and if you look closely you’ll notice I even added a slight shadow to the button face.

Next came the blank buttons, cunningly created by using the clone tool to remove the logo but keep the slight texture, then simply adjusting the hue to change the colour to a complementary purple, then the same again to get the grey.

Ta daaaah!..... buttons that look good together, and carry on the basic shape of the main logo. I like it!

Days 22 - 29

I’m starting to lose the plot with the day count…

WebMaster’s Log:   Stardate: 06 Feb 07

Change of venue, as you may have noticed. I now have my own, much more memorable, domain name and paid for web hosting, freeing me from many of the restrictions of the freebies.

Mostly been adding to the Club House and starting research on how to get hit by search engines. Also noticed that the non-existent page errors which Internet Explorer had previously reported on geocities have now magically vanished!?....  (very clever I'm sure you'll agree ladies and gentlemen... tha..thoing..)

Top tip for the day……

I’m still using Word to format my text. It allows a wider range of font size

settings; also paragraph spacing can be used to arrange text. Just copy and paste the formatted text into a rich text box in Web Express, even the indents copy across.
